PROBLEM: I have so much stuff. I’m so overwhelmed. I
don’t know where to begin.

SOLUTION: Limited your focus. One way to do this is to make a *physical ring around what you will work on. In the picture, the only items to focus on are in the ring. Once you are done with the first ring of things you can move the ring and get started on the next.

HINT: The ring was made with a piece of string. *This idea was adapted from Judith Kolberg’s paper towel tube idea. http://on.fb.me/il8Rty

That’s a perfect application of the idea. Thanks for sharing! The pictures are a great idea too.

I had just emptied the entire contents of an antique dresser onto the guest bed so that I could give the dresser to a family member when this idea arrived… When I returned to clear the bed I used a hoola-hoop as the ring. It is bright and was just the right size for 3 hoops of stuff to be sorted and (mostly) disposed of. I took before and after pictures to help motivate me through the job.
